My name is Thomas, I am a 23-year old Danish national living in Switzerland. Ever since I can remember, my parents have taken me on trips across Europe, mainly during summer holidays. I was born and raised in Denmark, and at the age of 15 I moved to Mesa, Arizona, USA to live as a high school exchange student, finishing with an International Baccalaureate Diploma after two years.
After graduating high school I moved back to live with my parents in Denmark for a few years. I took up a full-time job while living at home, saving up money fast, enabling me to quench an ever-growing thirst for travel. At this point I began to travel predominantly on my own initiative to places off the beaten path, countries such as Cuba, North Korea and Brunei. In January 2016 I moved to Switzerland to pursue my professional dream of becoming an air traffic controller, earning the first of two licenses at the end of 2017.
When I’m not vectoring aircraft in and out of Zurich Airport, or planning my next journey, I like to listen to electronic and house music, and watch sports, primarily American football, baseball and basketball.
